Term 2, Week 3

Hi everyone,

For our first reading response, I want you to think about the beginning of the book you have just read.  We're looking at narratives this term, so think carefully about the orientation.
  • Did the orientation grab your attention?
  • What was it about the orientation that grabbed your attention or turned you off?  What did the author do or not do?
  • What was one good thing about this orientation that you would like to use in your own writing?
Looking forward to hearing your responses - just hit the link to comment and type away.

See you in readers circle.

  1. Hi Mr Barden i am going to talk to you about the book The Last Of The Sky Pirates The Edge Chronicles i have to tell you the truth but i am not really that interested in parts of the book because i don't really understand it at all. Some of my favourite characters are Rook and Felix. i also like the part about how the pirates fly in the sky. My favourite part in this book is when Ledmus Squinx catches Rook reading a book.

This book seems to be very adventurous ........ but it doesn't seem to be the book for me sorry but i dont like book at all. From Abby Carlaw from the red group
